I said I am motivated in school because my future depends on it. I honestly feel that some of these classes we are required to take are so incredibly pointless and they only reason I take them is to graduate. And I try to do well in those classes so I have a good GPA, so I can get into a good class. I wish I could say that I genuinely like learning, but some of my classes, I haven't learned a thing.

I would get into a lot of trouble if I didn't go to school but that is not the primary reason I go. I mainly go to school and try to excell in it so that it will benifit me in the future. But also, by the end of summer I usually get bored and am ready to learn new things so I think that part of the reason I go to school is to learn new things and expand my horizons.

I chose the second one because if I didn't go to school, then I probably wouldn't do anything of value. Your career is basically your life, so I think it is important to insure your future.

I was torn between all three but I decided to go with the third one because I didnt want to come to school today. I really do like to learn but more on my own terms than in school. As to the second one this is probably the main reason I go to school most days but I'm sick so I dont want to be here today.

I think that I am inbetween genuinely like to learn and future career depends on it because there are some instances when I really want to learn about something. Other times I really don't like to come to school and learn certain things but I know that it will help in the future.

I meant so I can get into a good college, not good class. Sorry I'm tired.

I voted that my future career depends on going to school, and that's why I go. Although some classes, like this one, I genuinely enjoy, but I have massive plans for my future and the super-rigorous course plan I have will get me where I want. Otherwise, I'd take a different approach to my schedule. I want to be a very good engineer, and go to MIT, so I have to be super over-achieving.

I like to learn, but I don't feel like that's my main reason for going to school. If I didn't feel like I had to go to school, I probably wouldn't every day- i feel like my future depends on it.

I responded "your future career depends on it". I like to learn some of the stuff in school, but I am basically going to school to get into a good college. I would not take Chemistry if I didn't have to and several other classes. I feel that there is a lot of pressure on me to be better than my parents and not going to college is not an option. I like learning, but if I didn't go to school I would probably teach myself stuff anyway since I have so many interests. I like honors classes because I actually want to be motivated to do the work.

I chose "your future career depends on it" because I think your school experience really decides your future. I think that I used to love learning and that was why I came to school, but now with all the pressure of college, the future part has kind of taken over. Although I do like to learn a lot, just some days I don't want lear.

i voted for "your future career depends on it" because... well my future depends on it. but i was stuck because i love to learn too. i genuinely like all (actually, most) of my classes. but i also need good grades because one college i've considered is the Royal College of Music in London. I really want to pursue music as a career but i need good grades to get into a good college.

I'm personally looking forward to my future career, assuming it is something I like to do, so the second option would have been a good choice for me to pick. However, I genuinely like to learn, also. Part of my desire to learn is also so that I'll do well in a future career, so I was really split between those two.

I chose that my future career depends on my education. All three motivate me, but this one motivates me the most because I know I will need high grades in order to be accepted into the college I want, and the college that I want to get into, will help me get a good job, and be as successful as I possibly can.

The main reason I want to go to school is because an education is necessary to get a good career when I get older. I guess I see school as kind of a stair step on the way to college and a job. If you didn't really need to go to school to get a good job, I'm not sure I would go to school. I do like to learn, but the stress, structure, and homework that comes with school wouldn't be worth it.

I go to school because my future career depends on it. My whole life has been about sucess now for sucess in the future, I take the classes I do so I can impress collages. My grades reflect my education and that will get me into collage (hopefully the one I want) and my collage education will get me the job I want, or a job anyways...and my job steers my life.

I agree with Nicole. My mom always jokes that I can always drop out when I say I don't want to go to school, but I know she'd kill me if I did.

Honestly, society today is just so competitive. With so many bright students, how couldn't it be! The reason I chose the second option (come to school because my future career depends upon it) is out of many reasons. Society is structured hierarchically- and the only way to get to the top is to get good grades, have potential, and most importantly, have a reputation. Going to school provides me with these tools; therefore I come here because my future depends on it.

Apologies to everyone who hates "i" instead of "I"'s. my bad kelsey........................................................

I said that my future career depends on it, because I really want to get into a good college and expand upon my knowledge, but the only way to do that is to get good grades, be in honors classes and get involved in my community. So, my main reason to come to school and get good grades and be in honors classes is solely for my future, hopefully in a good college.

Alright,
I chose that I genually like to learn. I really do like to learn, it is fun to figure out new things and dig deeper into things. I have not been that way for my whole life, definately not. I started to care once I entered middle school and matured a little bit I guess. I mean, it probably started off as wanting to go to school in order to succeed but then later turned into the fact that I love to learn.

I am motivated to come to school because my future career fully depends on it. But on the other hand, I would get into serious trouble if didn't attend school.I absolutley hate being uprepared, for school let alone life and going to school helps me prepare for the future. I choose honors classes because hopefully I will get to the A.P. classes and obtain college credit. But, then again, my parents greatly encourage me to enroll in honors classes.

i beleive that teh reason that I come to school is to learn. I obviously need to do well to succeed in life and obtain a great career, but other reasons motivate my attendence. I think that I also come to school for the social interaction.

I chose "your future career depends on it" because the things that we learn in school will be uselful to know when I become what I want to be when I get older. I think that though not all subjects at the time seem useful to most students because some know what they want to become, but I think that if someone decides to become something else they didn't plan to be then they'll still have some knowledge, on the subject. Hopefully.

I said that I am motivated to go to school because I like to learn. This has always been true about me. I just love to learn new things. For those of you who choose the one about your future careers, I think these two go hand in hand. In order to decide what you want to be in life, you need to know what you want to learn. This is a bit confusing in my wording, but what I am trying to say is that if you enjoy learning in school, you can determine what exactly you want to continue learning for the rest of your life. Therefore, by loving to learn, you can find out what your future job should be.

I chose "future depends on it" because it is nearly impossible to get a good job in today's soceity with going to college and you can't go to college without finishing high school. However, I also like to learn. That statement wasn't really true until this year because A Whole New Mind wasn't the funnest thing to learn about.
